Lower School
(Grades PreK-5)

The Lower School is where your child begins to grow and thrive. We focus on the basics while providing children with the thinking and problem-solving skills they need to become life-long learners. Our curriculum is steeped in experiential learning both in the classroom and beyond, with our teachers striving to bring hands-on experiences into every lesson. We aim to spark children’s innate curiosity and encourage them to reach their full potential as they take on increasing responsibility and develop self-discipline.

(Grades 6-8)

Middle School students at CSS continue to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills by setting developmentally-appropriate goals and participating in activities designed to meet a wide range of individual needs. Our experiential approach focuses on student-centered learning, with a curriculum that encourages critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity, ingenuity, and global awareness. We strive to inspire our students to make ethical and responsible decisions, ultimately preparing them for our Upper School, college and the professional world.

(Grades 9-12)

Students in the Upper School at CSS complete a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum, including core and elective courses in history and English, math and science, the world languages, and the arts. With an average 18:1 student-teacher ratio, students benefit from personalized attention that prepares them to continue their academic careers at some of the nation’s top colleges and universities. Their well-rounded education comes complete with countless opportunities to engage in school life and activities.
