“If parents want to give their children a gift, the best thing they can do is to teach their children to love challenges, be intrigued by mistakes, enjoy effort, and keep on learning. That way, their children don’t have to be slaves of praise. They will have a lifelong way to build and repair their own confidence.”Carol S. Dweck, "Mindset: How You Can Fulfill Your Potential"
At CSS, students develop strengths in leadership and teamwork, learn to take initiative and risks, and use creative thinking to solve problems. Through the years, our students develop a mindset defined by collaboration, creativity, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and communication, and apply this mindset during meaningful projects, performances, activities, and other CSS experiences. Students also have opportunities to provide service to others and gain a global perspective that prepares them to succeed in college and in life.
