Approximately 40 current and past faculty and staff, as well as alumni representing the class years 1977 through 2021, came together for Alumni Reunion Weekend from August 5 to August 7, 2022. Activities included a Mid-Summer Movie Night complete with back-to-back showings, dinner, and ice cream on the Quad, a family-friendly game of volleyball in the Louise Honnen Tutt Field House, guided campus tours, and a Blast from the Past Reception in the Trianon.
The Blast from the Past Reception featured a walk down memory lane with yearbooks, games, and candy through the decades, cocktails and small bites while alumni and faculty shared laughs, stories, and hugs. "I was able to connect with several people I have not seen in nearly 20 years," former music teacher James Divine told Head of School Tambi L. Tyler.
A good time was had by all, as alumni and faculty also unveiled the contents of time capsules sealed in the year 2000 by students from the Classes of 2004 and 2006, and CSS's former international students. Some highlights within: a Beanie Babies unicorn honoring the former CSS mascot; a log signed by the then 8th-grade class (wrapped around it was Mr. Kelly's tie); a Super Mario 2 Nintendo game; floppy discs (what are those?!); students' history papers; National Geographic magazines from the 1960s; the script to Titanic; and predictions for the future such as "I think that people will live on moon colonies and will fly." What a blast!
