The Colorado Springs School held a donor appreciation reception on February 20, 2025, in the Trianon to recognize supporters who have contributed $1,962 or more (in honor of the school's founding year). We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has made a gift to the 2024-2025 Kodiak Pride Fund, including those who contributed at this special level. Your support is essential in building a vibrant and inspiring community for our students and families at CSS.

At the reception, Head of School Dr. Ryan Kelly expressed special gratitude to the Chapman Foundation for their generous gift during the 2023-2024 academic year, as well as their matching community gift. He also acknowledged Head of School Emeritus Mike Edmonds for his assistance in securing the Chapman Foundation's contribution.

Dr. Kelly further extended his thanks to the Adam R. Scripps Foundation for their educational grant and their ongoing commitment to CSS through a matching community gift for the 2024-2025 school year.

"The generosity of these two foundations is truly inspiring, and we look forward to continuing these valued partnerships in the years to come," he said.

Dr. Kelly also discussed how donor support drives three core priorities:

Educational Excellence:
Advancing academic programs, faculty development, and innovative learning experiences. Next year, we plan to expand STEM programming to include engineering and robotics, providing students with hands-on, inquiry-based learning opportunities that prepare them for the future. Additionally, we are introducing Diplomas of Distinction in Upper School, ensuring students have access to enriched academic paths that challenge and inspire them.

Community Strength:
Creating a vibrant, inclusive, and connected school culture for students, parents, and faculty.

Future-Forward Vision:
Investing in campus enhancements and long-term sustainability to prepare students for an ever-changing world. As part of this vision, next year we will introduce the Launch Pad Learning Garden, a dedicated 4th and 5th-grade space designed to provide a personalized and innovative approach to Middle School preparation. This initiative will focus on social-emotional development, executive functioning skill strengthening, and self-advocacy, ensuring students are well-equipped for their transition to Middle School.

"Your generosity makes all of this possible, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to The Colorado Springs School’s continued growth and success," Dr. Kelly said. "Together, we are shaping a bright and impactful future for The Colorado Springs School as a beacon of excellence in the community."
