Last night we had our first night/anchor watches, where we had to track the position of our ship to the position of the anchor. Each of us took an hour per watch from 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. After the watches were done we made burritos for breakfast and now we are heading towards Santa Barbara island. We are learning how to rig the sails and will gradually take over more and more of the actual sailing from the crew. Tomorrow we will be exploring the island for just about the entire day.
