The Middle School division embarked on Seminar I from October 18–20, 2021, as students and faculty spent three days and two nights camping and participating in a number of team-building activities. The 1,460-acre Lathrop State Park where Seminar I was held opened as Colorado's first state park in 1962 – the same year in which The Colorado Springs School was founded! Highlights of the trip included hiking, archery, biking with Kids on Bikes, mini-golf, a trust fall exercise, and constructing boats made out of cardboard, duct tape, and other materials.
Students in grades 6 through 8 attend three seminars per year at The Colorado Springs School. For Seminars II & III, students are tasked with selecting from seminars that align with their unique interests and goals, with topics ranging from Outdoor Education, Arts and Social/Current Issues to STEM and Life Skills.
