Service to others is a longstanding tradition at The Colorado Springs School. Students in Middle and Upper School recently participated in the Service Learning Day program.
Middle Schoolers took part on November 3 in projects at Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado and Concrete Couch and gave back to the School community by building benches for the garden and applying a coat of fresh paint to the playground.
Upper School students fanned out across the Pikes Peak region on October 27 to project locations that included local nonprofit organizations ranging from Venetucci Farm, Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado, Habitat For Humanity Pikes Peak ReStore to El Pomar Youth Sports Park and New Roots Farm, the latter owned by CSS alumna Sarah Hamilton '11.
